Lyxx at the Lions DenLyxx formed in May 2003 when guitarists Adam Tempkin and Andrew David decided to combine their love of 80’s metal with a desire to rock the NYC club scene. Bassist Russ Tyler joined the project in 2004. After several personnel changes, vocalist Jay Braun and drummer Rogelio Perea joined the band in June & July 2006 - Lyxx’s most recent additions - and completed the current lineup.
Lyxx melds incredible musicianship with a strong sense of fun, playing some of rock’s best music like they wrote it and getting fists pumping in the air at every show!. Although emphasizing kick-ass 80’s hair-metal, Lyxx was formed to let its members play what they love - fans are treated to an ample helping of 70’s Glam (Mott the Hoople and T. Rex for example) and 80’s Thrash (Megadeth; Slayer...) mixed in with arena-rock favorites like Kiss, Whitesnake, Dokken, Def Leppard and Journey. Great playing ability mixed with backing vocals a mile thick lets Lyxx nail it all. If you’ve listened to rock in the last 30 years, you are going to love Lyxx!.
